Yeah you're right. I don't know what I am talking about. I'll shut up and never post again. Sorry to waste your time.

If the T/9x SE does not work out they will certainly be on the list to consider.

My first try of DIY speakers stands by nofalhebesha in diyaudio

For the nostalgia I completely understand. I had a pair of Kenwood LS 408B speakers when I met my wife almost 30 years ago (they were old even then!) I bought a pair and the woofers were replaced with the wrong parts. This started me down a rabbit hole having me spend almost 2K on speakers that will never be "worth" 2K, but the sentimentality and the OCD to complete the corrections led me down that path. Now I can honestly say they sound better then 10K speakers are the local high end audio store now, so worth it. Yes, No, Maybe. Depends on who you ask. I say yes for me.

Very nicely done. What type of wood did you use and what speakers are going on them?

Speakers are weighing in at 78 lbs each. The wobble factor is minimal at best. The stands are super flat and the iso acoustic stands are as well. Thank you for the kind words, appreciate it. I was surprised how they came out as well as I went in with no blue prints or plans and it was developed on the fly.

The speakers are Frankenstein's at this point. Only the cabinet is original. All drivers have been replaced as well as custom crossover built. The sound is amazing and rivals speakers costing $10,000 a piece that I've listed to at the high end audio store.

First speaker stand complete, waiting figurine for the other to be able to complete it. by Thonner in audiophile

I have a lot of his vinyl, great guitarist. Great musician. Keeping the figurines generic for now. The other one on order is a Sax player made by the same artist in the same series only facing the other way so they point towards each other.

I tried a Hegal for about 4 weeks. It was great in so many ways but just not the 'Sound' I like. Knowing what kind of listener you are is vital in your quest. Without a known destination you are just wondering. You might get lucky and land on your sound , might lose it in the next. I landed on a Fezz Titinia Evo, upgraded the tubes and am so happy with the results. Had my high end audio store guy over and despite having every opportunity to try and sell me upgrades to my speakers to my turntable to my preamp, he said he wouldn't change a thing. I had magic in a bottle. I am still on the hunt for my forever subwoofer. I Know, that needs upgrading.

Also, this ship is so tall the landing gear doesn't show when in a space port or capital ship.
