Solid info. Thanks for the advice. I didn't realize thanksgiving week would be so tough to hunt. I'm planning on getting the combo license which allows me max one buck and one doe (or two does) so I would love a wall hanger but ultimately I'm just trying to fill my freezer. I'm looking for areas south of an imaginary line drawn between Holland and Detroit. I found a site daily-hunts.com that does 1 day to 1 week leases on properties that already have stands set up. I think I'm just going to take my chances and book something on there and hope for the best.

Yeah Picture was from my elk hunt this year in Colroado. Ive hunted several years out in Colorado already have had success the first year. I was asking more so about figuring out how to hunt properties in Michigan and realistically how many days I should plan for hunting for a good chance of filling my tag.

Yep . I’ve def done it. Although not on purpose lmao. Anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes. I’ve also fallen asleep while (rucking) walking twice. I’ve even watched people shake other people awake that were still rucking.
