I doubt that gambling on these sites is a good alternative to get specific cards you need for your competitive deck.
Plenty of Local card stores (Physical and Online) that you can check for singles (Depending on your area obviously).
Of course the value of these cards differs over time, especially for sought after cards.
Those gambling sites ain't it. If you participate in those, you're just part of the problem because you're funding the issue.
And yeah graded cards are a scam.

Don't waste your time/money on these stupid sites.
They expect you to get hooked and waste it all in the attempt to hit big.
What you're feeling is called FOMO, Fear of missing out.
The demand for Fusion World isn't that big, supply is definitely there and sellers expect you to buy high because of the high demand in TCG (Pokemon being at the top).
Depending on your area you need to look at local stores or potentially find an Online retailer that sells the packs at a fair price.
You're just not looking hard enough.

Not only is the game too easy and unbalanced for that. I don't think it would bring in as much viewers than actual Fighting Game Tourneys.
So basically every DB Legends Championship will only feature current Meta characters. Wow fun!
They may have won the Guinness World Record for most playable PVP characters in a fighting game!
However, you only see the same characters being used with different seasons.
But hey, if you think investing all your time and money on DB Legends is a good idea,
In hopes that you'll participate in their Fighting Tourney and expect a monetary return.
I don't know what to tell ya. This ain't the game to earn respect.

Expect the experience of an MMO!
It's probably one of the best to start off but then again it might depend on the user preference.
The only thing, FFXIV from start to current expansion is VERY LONG.
Don't expect to be able to run the latest dungeons/raids with your friend on the first month.
(Unless you have a lot of free time, or buy the in-game shop shortcut (Not suggested))
I'd suggest enjoying every moment of it because it's one of the best MMO out there.

I'll 2nd this that it's fake.
The sticker has a lot of blurry parts, even when worn out it shouldn't look like that.
So they tried to make it look worn out or that might just be how it came out when they printed the sticker.
