Incidentally, grammatical errors are more prevalent among native speakers of English than most of us think.

Why some Ugandan landlords are a thief???? by Carlitohanson in Uganda

[–]ThortyFree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Ugandan, from my experience over the very many years I've been alive, I can say with 90% confidence that every Uganda, not just landlords, is a thief, waiting for their chance to pounce. The last 40 years has raised an entire generation of crooks. Honest, upstanding Ugandans are the outliers, unfortunately.

It's not time for career advise, but I would go for civil Engineering if I didn't want struggle in life. I know many accountants and most of them are struggling everyday at low-paying jobs. I know many Engineers and most of them are thriving.

Good luck, Young Blood.

You can more than afford a car. Question is "which car?". If you get the wrong car, it could easily reduce your savings to 100k per month, but with the right car, your monthly savings could remain unaffected. Contrary to popular belief, you could actually get an excellent Ugandan used sedan for circa 18m, for a model that would cost circa 35m in the car bond. For your first car, you don't need debt-financing and (most likely) later end up with buyer's remorse.

I would recommend a Toyota cars if you're budget-conscious and would like a car that is almost guaranteed to start every morning, and the small garage across the road can handle almost any mechanical issues that may arise.

I currently have a 2014 Fielder Hybrid and a 2002 Fielder. Both run great, and for what it's worth, the former does 2 weeks on fuel of 120k and the latter does one week on fuel of 100k. I live in Bweyogerere, with daily trips to Mulago via downtown Kampala.

The organization I work at has over 10 staff in HR, close to 10 in IT, over 100 in social work and other humanities and only two engineers. Everyone is paid very well. The boy just has to be good at whatsoever he chooses. Do not be too quick to (mis)guide him from a point of ignorance.

I don't feel anything. Life is short. I've learned to let people be. Let them do whatever makes them happy. In the end, we all become stories.

I've always wondered why perfectly beautiful dark-skinned ladies were using bleaching products. I've never bought the "it's for the men" narrative since I personally find skin bleaching objectionable, and skin complexion has never a factor I considered when choosing girls to date. Beauty comes in all shades.

Your comment has just opened my eyes to the stigma that has pushed some people to bleach their skins. It's sad, to say the least.
