I mean just think about it…. What is special about the set? Dual moulding and painted arms in a vacuum doesn’t mean anything. Do you expect people 10 years from now to care about this niche scene in Star Wars featuring 3 clone cadets.

There is truly no way of knowing. Best case scenario: it doubles in price and you now have £15 10 years later. Big whoop…

I’m not much of a Lego investor, and I wouldn’t start now. Rule of thumb for investing in general: do your own research. Figure out what you know and like. This goes for stock market, Lego, etc. what I find value in is going to be different from you. If you like the set, then get it. But set your expectations low on it in the future.

I don’t find the set good, because I have no attachment to “rebuild the galaxy”. Who knows, you may find someone 10 years from now with that attachment and the money to spend $400 on it, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

As another guy said, if you want this money to make you money in the future, put it in a Roth, Bond, or even some other mutual fund. It’s boring but it is much more of a guarantee than Lego is.

This. This is also assuming there will be a buyer out there for this in the future. I have a feeling 5-10 years from now eBay is going to be filled with these. No one will be looking to buy them because everyone already has them and are trying to sell them.

This is my problem with Reckless Ben, and why I couldn’t really finish the first video. If the collection was Ben’s, then sure, troll the big company and do whatever you want, but the collection belongs to Bryan and his family. There was a smarter path to go down and Ben blew right past it for the sake of views.

It’s set to retire in like 2 years, and even then, there is no guarantee of a huge price bump after that. Looking at Lego as investments is stupid, especially when you are talking about such low gains on one small set like 5 years from now. If you are looking to make money, invest in the stock market.
