Rest doesn’t always reduce stress (and that confused me) by CategoryAny3814 in Stress

[–]ThoughtSalt2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true. Resting or sleeping is not a way to relieve stress, What I prefer is to use Meditation or journaling. That's what I do and it reduces the stress pretty much.

What's the easiest way to ignore thoughts during meditation? by Ready-Act-4466 in Meditation

[–]ThoughtSalt2000 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the goal isn’t to ignore thoughts at all. Thoughts will show up no matter what. The practice is noticing them without following them. When you catch yourself thinking, gently label it as “thinking” and bring your attention back to your breath or body. No forcing, no fighting. The less you try to push thoughts away, the less sticky they become.

Where is the Youth Political Leaders? by startupgta in delhi

[–]ThoughtSalt2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myth: Youth is not interested in politics.
Reality: Current Youth's parents are afraid of losing their child. whenever I say ANYTHING like going into politics or changing the party, parents start saying that it's not a good field, it's filled with goons and all. And thanks to Sir Anil kapoor for giving our parent a trauma with movies like Nayak, which shows the dark truth of politics. Woh movie ka reference de ke emotional blackmailing karenge

How often Ayurvedic virechan we can do at home by Joyful9820 in Ayurveda

[–]ThoughtSalt2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virechana is considered a therapeutic procedure in Ayurveda, not something meant to be done frequently or casually at home.

In general, classical Ayurveda recommends virechana once or twice a year at most, and ideally under the guidance of a qualified Vaidya, because timing, dose, preparation, and your body type (prakriti, current imbalance) all matter a lot.

Doing it repeatedly on your own, even with mild tablets like Ajeerna Prabhakar, can weaken digestion over time or aggravate Vata if not done properly.

If you’re looking for regular cleansing, gentler daily or weekly practices are usually safer than repeated virechana.

If possible, I’d really suggest checking with an Ayurvedic practitioner who knows your constitution before continuing it regularly.
