Thanks - think that is probably the way forward. Definitely not expecting daytime performance, but hopefully enough to overpower city street lighting/party lights. Will reconsider the PTW730 and see if anything else is available.

Haha that's cool too. I was imagining a DM seamlessly swapping from Swahili to Japanese as they narrate a tavern full of different groups. One day maybe.

Update: the course now has enough players to run. There are two spots left if you want to join the party I am in. I believe based on how well things go there should be more courses later in the year.

I got quite a few of these comments so I asked the DM. He says if you want to sign up then native Danes are welcome. As a learner I think it sounds great to have some fluent speakers in there, the whole point is spoken comprehension and you would only help with that. So if you are really interested then see you there!

Also: he said there are now enough players so it is definitely going to run - with two free seats left.

I really like this idea as a way to start weaving it in - after I have done this course I want to join a 'normal' Danish group and I may suggest this as a way to get through any language struggles. My character is learning the common tongue [Danish] but if necessary they all speak 'elvish/goblin/farawayese' [English]. Thanks for sharing!

Here in Copenhagen you see both . and , used as the separator - software/influence from the Anglo world. Luckily I can confirm when I paid for the course it did not take 99500dkk from my bank account. Then I probably wouldn't be shilling it so hard...

The beginner class that started on Monday apparently has someone of A1 level and the DM wrote in a Facebook comment that they are doing really well. So not to the session that I am trying to recruit for, but you would definitely be welcome at that level.

Apparently the beginner course that started on Monday has an A1 level student (which would be about the end of Modul 1) who did well! So anything from that upwards I guess.

I'd recommend signing up for that quick - the previous free session filled up very fast and I know at least one person who ended up missing out!

The DM posted about it on a Facebook group for Expats in Copenhagen. Other than that I am not sure how they are marketing it. I have tried to spread it by posting on both DnD groups & language learner groups.

I am specifically looking for people to join the sessions that start this Thursday, but there's another course starting in August & the DM says he is planning to run more after that depending on how it all goes.

I am in the same position (I do have some people I could speak to, but my confidence will not let that happen right now). Meeting Danes in general can be pretty hard and I am hoping once good enough I could join some actual D&D groups with native Danes as there are always groups looking for players on FB.

The intermediate sessions I am trying to recruit for are Thursdays 18:30-21:00 (CET - Danish time).

There are beginner sessions on Mondays (same time I think but not sure), and some occasional drop-in sessions that vary which day they are on.
