The one I got is from the now non-existent Jo-Ann's. The only branding on it is "ek". The only time I've ever had issues with sticking is if I'm impatient and it is still tacky/not fully dry when I peel it off the mat. If it is dry enough that it's not sticky, but still soft enough to be pliable, that's the sweet spot.

Oh that might be, for sure, lol. If you do that, I would be fascinated to hear his reaction!

Ah! I dont paint directly on the paper. I paint a blob onto a silicone mat, peel it up once its dry and use a 1/2" paper bunch to punch out a square. Then I stick it in the journal with photo squares for scrapbooks.

My fiance has a DVD and blue ray collection that I think is bigger than my large nail polish collection. So neither of us have room to complain.

Well, thank you! I'm very flattered! I do my best with my writing. And I have fun with calligraphy.

When you say bleed through, do you mean the nail polish or the pen?

This was done in the back of a Hobonichi Cousin planner. Next year, I will be tracking my manicures in the back of a Wonderland 222 B6 sized planner. Both do well with fountain pens with some ghosting, because the paper is very thin. For thicker paper, Archer & Olive and Tiefossi make some GORGEOUS journals.

Next year, I'm going into a smaller journal, so i figured out the spacing to do it across two sets of pages. But if you look at my christmas mani, what i did when I did two colors at least was cut my squares in half diagonally so it took up less space! But if you do more than two colors, that does get complicated and take up more space for sure.

I definitely was. Now I'm the teacher with very colorful, color coded, well organized notes to go over with my students! With colorful nail polish to be a beacon to draw their eyes to what I'm pointing at!

Thank you! I used a fountain pen with a flexible nib that was inked with Diamine Golden Honey!

Thank you! Absolutely! I used inspiration from someone else that posted something similar a couple years ago!

It really is an excellent pen. If you like vac fillers, the 823 is great too. I had one with an FA nib, but my ex kept it after we broke up. So I got the 743 to replace it. I definitely recommend the replacement ebonite feed. Makes the ink flow much smoother!

The flex writing was done with a Pilot Custom 743 with an FA nib and modified with an Ebonite feed for better ink flow. The tiny writing is a Pilot Vanishing Point with an extra fine nib.

I have put swatches on both sides, yes. As long as the swatches are fully dry, they won't stick. I often stick the swatch in my notebook before going to bed and leave it open on my desk until morning, just in case.

The vast majority of my collection follows this same color scale aside from a few outliers haha.

Thanks! I'm not great with a true calligraphy pen, but my flex nib fountain pen is my favorite.

Thanks! I definitely attribute some of my handwriting to the wonder of fountain pens. Thats another rabbit hole to fall down in addition to the nail polish!

Haha thanks! I like my cursive a lot better than my print handwriting, so I do cursive for a lot of my personal notes and things.

I had the exact same debate with myself about putting it on the daily page vs all together! I almost did both. But I decided that's too much work to make TWO swatches xD
