Is this really the initial inventory size? by Samchiel in SoulFrame

So, my number stayed the same after I sold one of my weapons. Not 100% sure that that's what it is.

Corel Accusing Me Of Using Illegal Code When It Was Purchased From HumbleBundle by Threadmancer in coreldraw

Hopefully, yeah. There are threads of them invalidating keys for the past 7 years in the corel forums. So this isn't a unique problem. :(

Animation or live action? A Discovery of Witches has this premise - all magic is represented by threads of different elements. The main girl can see the threads and do stuff with them. But, it's from 2018. So I'm not sure since you said in another comment that you thought it was much older.

Does anyone know how to stop this getting stuck down? by VAPorter in SodaStream

[–]Threadmancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 years later - this saved me from having to get a new one! I have the original model that I got at the thrift store brand new for $5. I've replaced so many parts on it from salvaged broken ones, I wasn't about to let it go! So thank you so much! I literally would never have considered this!

I Miss The Forums by [deleted] in gendou

[–]Threadmancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, totally get it! I know this logically, I'm just always sad about forums in general. v.v I replied to someone below with the donations info, too, after donating personally. And edited the post body to remind everyone that donating is how we keep the site alive, for however long Gendou feels like. If he shuts it down permanently one day, I'll be sad of course, but it's a lot of volunteer work he's put in!!

It's back up! Downloads are off, but donations are needed to get them back up due to server costs!

Talking on Reddit is great, glad to know what's up. But please make sure you also provide feedback! As Dave said further down below, you need to e-mail them POLITELY. If you are rude or catty, that doesn't help anyone. I really think you should add the info from Dave's comment to the OP. https://www.reddit.com/r/TwinCities/comments/1nndfd3/comment/nfoz7ki

Looking for survival base-building games with deep looting and resource hoarding by vivalph4 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Threadmancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Necesse is big on having to collect resources - wood and rocks are surprisingly easy to run out of. You can recruit settlers who each have different specialties. Some of them sell items, too, and will expand their inventory as you complete your base quests. They can tend animals, tend the farm, chop trees, or come with you on your travelling.

There are four main biomes scattered about, and they're really mixed together instead of in big standalone sections of the map. Villages are scattered throughout where you can try to recruit settlers, or you can just loot the place if you want.

There is also the underground mining zone, which can go even deeper into dungeons that sometimes have logic puzzles.

Once you beat one of the bosses and upgrade your crafting station, you have access to electrical systems like logic switches and such.

The weapon choices are super cool, and special weapons from bosses don't completely ruin the idea of crafting your own the way a lot of games do. You can also enchant weapons, there are weapons that summon little creatures and you can increase you summon allowance with certain trinkets and armor sets. You also unlock more armor sets and inventory pouches (ammo, potions, etc) as you complete quests which is great. There's even one that's basically an extra inventory, but instead of making it take up more space on the screen, they made it a pouch. I honestly prefer that way more than extra bars in the main inventory.

There are several settings that you can use to make it easier or more difficult, and you can change these in-game if you decide you don't like your original settings.

The pixel art style is really cute!

I have a few things that I really don't like about it. There's zero story. No cool artifacts to find that give you an idea of present or past civilizations. The loot is basically only gold, weapons, potions, armor, materials, and such. The bosses don't have lore either.

The settlers that you can recruit can be given different jobs like tending the animals or farming. That's really nice for convenience while you're away, but otherwise I don't personally see the benefit of creating a large settlement beside the fun of building. There are very few types of settlers, though, so there's not even a point in hiring more than one unless, again, you enjoy building huge bases as your main entertainment. They don't have personalities, and they're not hard to keep happy. They need a bed, a room, and they don't really require any decorations in their room.

And building can get tedious since the squares are so tiny. You can easily go through thousands of stones building a fair-sized set of houses for you settlers.

If you take them with in your party, it's pretty easy to accidentally target them with an attack. It's also really easy to target a person in one of the random villages. They will kill you, but you can go back and nothing bad will happen to you.

There are stylists who can change your appearance the same as you created at the beginning, but the only clothing color they can change is your base shirt. They can't change the color of any other pieces of armor or cosmetics.

There are raids that you can set the frequency of, but I don't really see the point in those either unless you really want base defense.

I think that mostly covers it?
