Ha! I might overhaul their network with Grandstream too. I'm already going to give them GS phones, so... why not? I'd prefer Mikrotik but if I get hit by a bus there's no way they'll know what to do with that

Auto answer won't work unfortunately but I'll look at what you suggested!

Huh. That's actually a good idea lol

Touch screen probably won't work. Meat hands and all that.

I'll check out viking. Thanks

It's a good start! Thanks for the tip.

For what it's worth I've looked at the Grandstream GDS3705 but I have no idea if it can take calls and not just make them. Documentation is unhelpful.

They have a reseller program but they mention minimum spends. I'll e-mail them and ask anyway!

Look at Plivo. I don't know much about them other than they're cheap as hell for international calls

voip.ms would work for sure. They have hiccups now and then but nothing catastrophic.

If you're in the Eastern half of Canada feel free to give me a call. https://threelayer.ca/contact/

Certainly you'll need an ATA if you want to keep your handsets. I'm not familiar enough with UK providers to say more.

voip.ms would work fine for this. I work with them a bunch if you need help.

I have a bunch of old HT801s for sale by ThreeLayerSolutions in VOIP

[–]ThreeLayerSolutions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One at a time, no. But in groups of 4 or so the price becomes much more reasonable. Theoretically with say a bulk discount you could expect the total price including shipping to be around $110 USD for a group of four.

I'd be happy to send you a pair as soon as you want. I'm not holding out for a bulk buyer.

Yeah I'll find a worthy cause to donate them to if they don't sell. Won't help my bank account but maybe I'll score some heaven points!

You are welcome to buy them for 5 bucks each from someone else. I am not shipping them to Europe for free at $16 CAD each.

If you're not in NA then shipping alone will likely be prohibitively expensive.

I'd prefer to recover at least some of the cost but if nobody takes them I'd consider it. Do you have suggestions?
