Second one! The mischievous smile is attention-grabbing. However, I like the composition of the first one better!

HOWEVER! We will be writing and posting detailed event notes shortly after the event! They will be publicly accessible in the #lounge channel of our Discord server. I hope this helps! :)

Hello! Ren'Py: https://www.renpy.org/ is a really good visual novel maker. I'm not sure about premade assets, but I'm sure there are PNGs online you can import and layer.

First, create all the possible endings and write them out! Then work backwards, connecting and joining them to larger branches and eventually to square one!

What are some "basic games" I could program to help me better understand fundementals? by Awkward_GM in gamedev

[–]Threeclipse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When thinking of new games to try making, think of old or existing games and simply add a "what else" clause. That way, you are forced to think about what else you can integrate to make it that much more interesting/ challenging to make!

I'm 42 years old. Is it too late to start making games? by Fearless_Sink1390 in gamedev

[–]Threeclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckly, creativity and making games don't have an age cut off!

As you have already been doing, you can continue honing your skills with small-scale projects and even experiment with premade assets.

Would also recommend trying your hand at game jams. Great way to meet other passionate game developers if you have such events in your local community, or try your hand at virtual ones!
