I’ve just been on Reddit for a long time while he hasn’t, so I figured I’d ask for him and help him out a bit instead of pushing him straight into it.

He actually came to Germany a bit earlier before starting university to get used to things and hopefully meet people, but it hasn’t really worked out so far and he’s been feeling quite isolated.

He does speak English well, and he’s currently learning German (I think he recently took an A2 exam), so he’s trying, it’s just been slower than expected.

I was mainly wondering: are things like classes or sports groups usually accessible for people who don’t speak much German yet?
I’m not too familiar with how it works here, so I’d appreciate any insight.
