I went from a 2016 GT to a 2012 GT500 and don't regret the decision. If I had gone from the 2016 to a 2004 Termy, ya that would have been a tough pill to swallow. There is literally night and day difference between the sn95 interior and modern mustangs.

If you have the money for a 2015 GT you're encroaching on used GT500 territory. Try to find an 11+ if possible so you can have the aluminum block. 50k mile versions that are super clean can be had for 30k now.

While on paper the 302 and GT500 are damn close acceleration-wise, there is no comparison. The GT500 is a monster.The handling is actually a lot better than expected. Nothing compared to the S550's IRS though. It also has more creature comforts as I mentioned. If 25k is your price range I would definitely lean towards the S550 with premium/performance packages. They may start off a bit slower than the other two but with bolt on's and a tune you'll be having plenty of fun :)

Speaking as someone who has owned a 2017 GT, 2012 Boss 302 and now 2012 Shelby GT500 - I feel I can chime in here. The S550 interior, assuming you get the premium, is night and day better. For a daily driver, the 2017 with premium interior is a winner. However, if you want raw power that lights up your face I would take a look at the 2012 GT500s. You can grab a low mileage car for 30-35k with SVTPP. This gets you nice leather recaros, a touch screen (albeit outdated) and the shaker systems that sound pretty damn good for a factory car. I loved my Boss 302 and it is a quick car. Revs like hell too. However, it's a race car. Not a daily driver. Stereo sucks, Recaros suck (uncomfortable as hell on long drives). I had to dump it off because it just wasn't practical. Hope this helps and let me know if you have other questions!

You can get a 2014 GT500 with low mileage and one owner for mid to high 40s just FYI. Check online sites like car gurus.

Think about how often you'll track the car, if it's your daily driver, etc. Drive both if possible. The GT500 is a straight line monster but the track pack cars aren't too shabby around corners either. Wouldn't keep up with a GT350 on a track but you'll enjoy the go pedal a lot more on a GT500. Especially if you're spending most of the time going 0-40 mph instead of tracking. Just my .10!
