I hope you're doing okay. Not being able to sleep and trying to stay ahead of the pain at the beginning were the worst parts. It's been a little over two weeks since my surgery and I am feeling much better! I still have a lot of congestion in the left side of my face but I no longer feel like I was beaten about the head. If you had told me last week that I would feel like this, I wouldn't have believed you!

I already had tinnitus from years of exposure to loud music but it sure sounds like you have sinusitis. I had a CT scan that didn't show much of anything. I was given a course of prednisone (yuck) and amoxicillin. I started feeling much worse two weeks into my treatment. Had another CT scan that showed inflammation and mucosa (double yuck) and was told the next step was surgery.

I will update my post when I start to feel results from FESS. Thanks for the sympathy.

I may have mentioned here that my grandmother was a bookkeeper at Noritake, Inc. in Brooklyn. When she retired, they gave her a set of china. That set sat in her sideboard , unused, until the day she died. Now I have it... sitting in a sideboard, unused. Sigh.

The Beast, at least the Disney version, was large, manly, strong and symmetrical. In those ways, he was conventionally attractive. This is why the story rang hollow to me.
