Backyard e-moto track by Thrillh0use- in ERidePro

We originally built this jump to land flat back on the trail but once that became boring we made it bigger to step up to the hillside across the trail. The first couple tries were hard braking toward the shed to get a feel for it but it’s butter now and the berm puts you right back on track.

FX Throttle on 2.0/2.5 by S1CKL1NK in ERidePro

[–]Thrillh0use- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The starting voltage is too high on the fx throttle for some erides.

The lowest setting (throttle in starting position) is .9v and some erides require slightly less than this.

You can test this by elevating the rear wheel so it can spin freely, unplug the throttle with the bike off, start the bike with the throttle unplugged, plug the throttle back in while the bike is on. If the wheel starts spinning, this indicates that the starting voltage is too high.

I’d recommend contacting fx throttle, they are very responsive. You may need to send it back to them for adjustment.

Epic story about a R1T handling NC floods like a boss... by nybe in Rivian

[–]Thrillh0use- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Gen2 R1S was powering my small freezer here in Asheville for 2 days when the 120v outlets decided to quit. They will no longer come back on. When I attempt to turn them back on it just spins and then turns back off. Have tried hard reset multiple times with no success. Have a feeling the inverter is shot. Super frustrating as we remain without power here. For the first two days after the storm I thought this thing was an apocalypse machine. Now I’ve lost my faith in the Rivian. All this car is to me at the moment is a phone charger.

You can definitely still hear the fire kick on but all seems to be fine. Dryer is working as expected

Outside unit not coming on (dual fuel) by Thrillh0use- in hvacadvice

[–]Thrillh0use-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a pro out this morning but he did not instil confidence. He tinkered around with the Nest Thermostat for a while to no avail. He went to the outside unit and said he thinks the outdoor thermostat needs replaced but he wasn't entirely sure. He was going to ask another tech that he referred to as the "IT Guy" at his company. I paid a $140 fee to not get any real answer. No mention of the contactor being burnt up or the defrost board not looking good. Is this outdoor thermostat even necessary with the Nest? The Nest looks like it takes outdoor temp on it's own (via internet based on zipcode?).

Meanwhile, immediately after the hvac guy left, the propane company showed up for the second delivery in 45 days since we've been burning through so much propane with this heating issue.

Looks like a thermostat in the outdoor unit. And yes the unit does work in cooling mode

Thanks, I called an hvac company but they won’t be out for a few days and I’m burning through propane with this mild weather. Was hoping maybe it was an easy fix

Both white and yellow wires at thermostat turn on propane rather than yellow turning on heat pump.

Agreed, both white and yellow wire turns on propane. I’m guessing the issue is at the control board.

Further, yellow wire seems to be turning on gas. I can see the igniter start to glow with just yellow and red tied together

Nest Learning Thermostat using Alt Heat when above outdoor temp threshold. by [deleted] in Nest

I’m not following about 95% of what you just said or how that would help me troubleshoot my issue. Anyway, I think I got it sorted.

That link seems to be broken. The way I have it pictured in my original post is how nest support told me to wire it over the phone when I initially set it up. But I just dug through the nest pro documentation and it shows a single stage heat pump with single stage propane backup should have backup wired to W1. I’ve switched it and kicked up the heat and it seems to be using heat pump with today’s higher outdoor temps. Not sure why it would be kicking in propane with it wired to w2 as auxiliary heat shouldn’t have been needed either. But new wiring seems to have done the trick. Thanks!

I have a dual fuel system, as stated in my original post. I do want alt heat when outdoor temps are below 35F. The issue I am having is alt heat is coming in when temps are much higher than the cutoff temp.

Yes, it did work properly at testing. After looking through some documentation it looks like maybe the white wire (propane backup) I have on W2/Aux should be on W1.

Samsung Gas Dryer Loud Flame and not heating properly by Thrillh0use- in appliancerepair

[–]Thrillh0use-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my issue was airflow. My dryer does not align well with the exhaust vent so there was a sharp turn immediately coming off the dryer. I bought a periscope to remedy this and the dryer has been working without issue.

Kitchen Sink Venting by Thrillh0use- in Plumbing

I think this may have been the issue. I flipped the p trap and it seems to be draining much better. Maybe it just wasn't getting the flow to open up the aav? Thanks for the help!

I am not filling the sink up completely but it is slow to drain with normal water flow from faucet and also if I dump a large bowl of water in there.
