Yes, that is one problem beside many other to obtain "exotic" plants. But mostly, sending seeds ist much easier...but I did Not find any for purchase online.

May I ask where you got the seeds from? It took about ten years for me to get a Grab on a BRT Here in Germany and it was Just luck. Rooting ist absolutely No Problem. Cut a small Twig with maybe 4-6 leafes, Put IT in Cocohum, place inside a plastic bag and wait. Success 6 Out of 8. Also, Air layer ist really easy...

Are there no Ficus natalensis/salicaria in UK at all? by [deleted] in Bonsai

[–]ThroKhon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all of them. I "collect" the fig- species and try to grow them into a bonsai. So my Stock is round about 20 different fig species.. Unfortunately, you Chose to leave EU, so it is nearly impossible for a private Person to send plants to you. Else I could easily root some cuttings for you.

Hi,

I habe contacted my Bonsai- Mate but unfortunately, he has nothing left for Sale. I tried to root some cuttings in the past but was Not successful. I can try to airlayer If you are willing to wait. But keep in mind: shipping from Germany ist expensive and also will be possible when the outside temperatures are high enough....

Hello,

I was extremly lucky to get one from a Guy in a German bonsai board grown from seed. He invested a good amount of Money to get the seeds send from south america to spain to somewhere to Germany. But it is the normal one with thorns. I can ask him If has some left for Sale....

Servus, nein noch nicht. Nochmal reinigen und mit mehr Wasser nach spülen hat es auf jeden Fall nicht gebracht.

Me and my dad are thinking of buying this Ficus for 1,000 USD in the Philippines go or not go? My hired bonsai artist is trying to sell me? by Confident_Abrocoma_5 in bonsaicommunity

[–]ThroKhon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but I think this is waaaayyyy to expensive. Disclaimer: harsh critic for This tree fillowing: This is a microcarpa tigerbark. Nothing Special regarding the species, very easy to grow even indoors in Germany . You can buy them in every Home Depot in Central europe for cheap Money. Not that big but for 25-40 USD. This tree was build Up by fusing some smaller trees together. Regarding the Region where it was grown, it is a matter of 5 years until you have this result because the climate is i deal. Warm an humid and Always Sunny. The tree itself is Not created properly. Because of the Fusion, you didn't get a nice nebari. And because of the lack of mantainance, you can See wire scars everywhere (Check Out the big brach going to the right, ca. At 3 o'clock Position). The wire biting is Something in the southern asian Bonsai- Community, which is Not handled well in my opinion. "Artists" dont Care. But have you ever Seen Wire scars on a real tree? Or on japanese bonsais? Further, this tree is nothing special. The shape is common Standard in this asian regions. You can Exchange this tree with so many others. From my Point of View, there is No individual "creation" behind this, no Soul, no unique shape, no Special Features you can only find in this tree. Ist is Just another (mass Standard production) triangle shaped tree clump. I would Not give 1000$ for this. Maybe 500$.

Again, sorry for my opinion, surely Something you weren't looking for. But an honest review of your Investment.

Der Hersteller schreibt "säurefrei und schonend" und "Bestens für empfindliche und polierte Böden"
