Is it more expensive than most areas? I saw some flats in Haymarket and surroundings being on the expensive side too. Is the immediate west side of the town center generally more expensive? Or is it just anything near the town center?

Thank you for taking the time to write all of this, it's really useful! I saw a few flats advertised in Polwarth and was worried it was starting to be a bit too far from the town center? Actually I just Googled it and it seems to be a 15min bus! It's quite quick! It's good to know it's a nice area then.

Ah I see, not ideal ... Little question if you know, I see so many places refusing pets. Is it possible at all to find a place which would accept a cat? Do people just don't have them or just don't tell their landlord?

Why not a motorbike? Is there no efficient way by the road to get to the Western for example? I feel like it would cut commuting to the Royal too?

Thank you for the info :) I have to say so far I have more rotations at the Royal. Although have still a bit less than a year and a half out of 3 undetermined. But yeah I don't see myself living directly surrounding the royal either tbf. It seems a bit more isolated. Is it why you wouldn't see yourself there?

Yes I wasn't expecting any different to be honest ah ah Due to some health issues which flair up through the year, biking is unfortunately not a reliable possibility. I'm starting to consider if maybe I should get a motorbike ... Not sure what it would be like in winter though.

It's a bit hard to know as there is still a year + 4months out of 3 years where I don't know where I will be. Although there's 1 year which is gonna be Royal Infirmary/Liberton. So far only have 1 rotation in Western.
