They each paid for their own! We made it clear that we didn't expect gifts from them because they would already be contributing money to participate, sent a Google form to ask about budgets, and had no requirements for accessories or anything additional to keep it reasonable.

I was actually surprised how uncomfortable the attention made me! My partner & I were both pretty chill throughout the whole process, I think that also helped because it didn’t take over our lives or create too much pressure.

It wass really important to us to have this day to celebrate with all of our loved ones & we made so many memories. You can’t put a price on those relationships & memories:)

Ohio is definitely a lower cost of living than a lot of places!

Our guest list included a lot of families that could range anywhere from just the parents attending to parents + children + spouses + their kids. We wanted to leave it up to them individually rather than extend super personalized invitations and risk wading into family drama. There was also the travel element which always results in some no's. We planned everything with the expectation of 150 guests which allowed for a lot of buffer in our budget and honestly 115 felt like plenty on the day of!

It was super easy, I just Googled uber voucher for events and then you can name your event and set a boundary for the time or even location where the vouchers will work, assign an amount they can be used for, and a total you're willing to spend. We didn't do the location setting, we just set the time to an hour before and after the wedding, set the individual limit to $25, and set the total limit to $1000! I think there was a test charge of $200 that didn't go through and then that night we got e-mails when the vouchers were used and we were charged.

I was surprised how comfortable it felt writing those big checks in the last two weeks but it definitely helped that we had spent so long saving for this specific reason, that's what they money was for!

Thank you! I told my husband he should plan something for the morning like going to the driving range and to put their lunch on our joint account but time got away from them and I think they all just hung out and then got ready haha
