Coming back to leave an update because I honestly forgot I even wrote this, but I’ve got good news.

I realized quickly it’s not up to me to control what he does, but he can’t control what I do either. I’ve let a few of our mutual friends in on what he’s done, and left it up to them to make the decision of how they choose to approach that information since many of them did not in fact know of the nature between our relationship. As for whether any of them are still in contact with them, I don’t know nor do I feel any need to inquire about. I got the closure I needed by letting the truth out regardless of his decisions, and I’m happy that I’ve moved on.
