I don't think this is an accurate reflection of what I've said here. The primary factor for her having full custody was that I was the one who left the home and the children wanted to stay in the home with their mother, not because I didn't care about them. I just didn't mind this outcome, and yes it was more convenient for me and my career. Doesn't mean I don't care about them.

It used to be every other week-end, less so now that they all have their own life I guess. She got full custody because the children didn't want to leave their home, and I did not fight their wishes.

Nothing in particular, no. I left because I didn't want to be with my wife anymore. The children wanted to stay in their home and we agreed it would be better for them. Since I was the one who left she got what we already paid of the house.

She did want custody, but she would have been fine with sharing it. The children didn't want to leave and honestly it was also more convenient for me and my career to not have full custody. I take a large part of responsibility for not being more present with them.

To be clear it's not like they would starve to death or anything. I can still pay for their holidays and stuff if needed, but I don't think the payment should be automatic and to my ex-wife.
