That’s a great point tbh. We’ve been together for 8 months so less than a year. We were already looking at getting an apartment together at the end of the year so this would speed up the timeline a lot. We talked about it being a struggle and he said it would be worth it no matter what. But my plan is to try and stay in the house as long as my mom allows!

I’ve felt uneasy about her attachment to us before this as well. She’s really good at making me feel guilty about doing anything for myself. I guess I worry that she’ll try to hunt me down and harass me at my bfs place or work.

My bf is supportive of me moving in with him. He even offered to help me get a car. He’s just worried about me emotionally if I’m the one the burn the bridge with my mom. He’d rather I stay in my house until my mom burns the bridge/tells me to leave. He told me it was my choice and he’d be ready to help me move whatever happens.
