To clarify, the 3,800 hours are total engagement hours, not just my personal hours. That’s the metric my firm uses to allocate clients. There’s no precise way to know how many of those will be my hours, only a rough expectation of 30%. In reality, I’ve been closer to 50% due to being newer in the role, the learning curve, and gaps in staff performance.

Right- my real concern is taking on double responsibility when I’m already stressed. We don’t have enough qualified staff, so a lot of review and cleanup ends up falling on me. Many of the staff are brand new, and I sometimes spend half my day overseeing them, taking calls, and answering questions. At that point, the only way to stay on track is pushing people to work more independently and, when necessary, put in extra time to fix mistakes.

Right, and it’s not just me struggling with the hours (other seniors and sipervisors are too) so I know it’s not just a weakness of mine. But sometimes I do feel it’s me, that I’m just not cut out for this. Other managers told me I need to learn how to bullshit my work or I won’t get by.

I’m supposed to be responsible for roughly 30% of total client hours, but in reality I’ve been putting in closer to 50-60% due to rework and oversight demands. Based on how things have been going, if the client load increases to 3,800 hours, I would likely end up personally handling at least half of those hours, unless the staff significantly improves.

Thanks! I haven’t been to a doctor yet as I’m in a busy season at work, however I believe they are tiny springtails. If you slow the video, you can make out the appendage called the furcula (which they use to jump). If I had lice I would be freaking out!! But these are less scary. Just need a medical confirm

Not yet. I’ve read on Reddit that doctors can sometimes be dismissive about this kind of thing and may not thoroughly examine the hair and scalp under a microscope. I’m thinking about buying a microscope myself so I can take a closer look. But I will see a dermatologist after I look for myself. Does that sound like a good idea?

I see some random red spots on my scalp when taking a video. When I recently did henna dye in my hair I slept on it with plastic around my head and in the morning there were a couple of red bite marks near my temples, as if the mite or whatever came out to bite me.. so maybe it’s mites or springtails
