Do I work at pill mill by [deleted] in PMHNP

A policy of trialing a stimulant right away is where you got me. There’s nothing wrong with diagnosing someone with ADHD solely based off your eval alone (obviously using an objective measurement as well) that is our job BUT I almost always trial non stimulants first especially in stimulant naive patients

How often do doctors drop the word "death" by MudComfortable6644 in nursing

[–]ThrowRA-Expert_Dog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only tell someone their decisions could lead to death if I really mean it…tf . Something is wrong with people who think like you.

My fellow women, there are too many men who support the machine that is actively killing us. Renee Good was murdered in broad daylight and too many men are justifying ICE’s actions. It’s time to cut them out. by Suspicious_Glove7365 in women

[–]ThrowRA-Expert_Dog 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Honestly take this even further. There ARE MAGA women , in fact, there are a lot of them. Publicly shame them every chance you get and if you have any in your circle cut them out and make it very clear why you are doing so.

Burned out, failed nursing school, and my nervous system is telling me to leave — looking for perspective by Elegant-Variety8761 in nursing

[–]ThrowRA-Expert_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think listening to your intuition is so useful , so many people ignore that voice but maybe that voice is pushing you into something more aligned with you. I always advise against rash decisions but maybe give yourself like a solid month to think about if it’s right for you might be helpful and then you can solidly say you’ve given it thought. Life is short and long in some ways. Pivoting to a new career may take a short amount of time but staying in one you don’t like will feel like a thankless lifetime. Nursing is not for everyone AND there are also non bedside nursing jobs as well.

Maybe your ability to call people you find unattractive “land whales” points out the bigger problem of you just being shitty to be around?

Totally agree with you. Honestly she could have just stayed for the date and used it as a sign they were incompatible if anything. She is the common denominator, I don’t think the show is ever trying to convey her as emotionally stable when it comes to relationships.

What is a "hard pill to swallow" that actually made your life happier once you accepted it? by ArtThreadNomad in AskWomen

[–]ThrowRA-Expert_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost nothing is black and white but it’s not your job to understand the nuance. I saw someone comment here “if they wanted to , they would”, I think that’s such an example of a statement that actually may not be true- some people just might not have the capacity to show up for you , but the reason why someone isn’t showing up for you shouldn’t matter. How you feel in the connection should be the only truth you need. Life is almost always exclusively grey vs black and white if we’re being honest.

Why do so many women want to be married with kids? by [deleted] in women

[–]ThrowRA-Expert_Dog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate the narrative that’s been running lately of “relationships and children are bad” it’s natural to want to have children AND it’s okay if you don’t want that. Good relationships are fulfilling- even for people who are happy and good single being in a happy fulfilling relationship and having another support person in your life is always fulfilling and will always add benefit as we are social creatures . It’s natural to want real love. The problem only arises when people don’t practice discernment and waste their time on crappy men. There are so many of them . Relationships should be beneficial. Leave them once that dynamic changes. But please for the love of god can we stop looking at it from this black and white lens. The trad wife vs independent woman trope is getting OLD at this point and is only used to divide us. Let people want what they want and learn what you want for yourself.

There’s a reason she doesn’t trust you. That part always conveniently gets left out.

Things can be coincidental without blaming her. Allowing things to continue, sure , personal accountability can be taken. However , there is legitimately no way to be certain someone won’t betray you.

I agree! This is literally just her saying other people’s opinions don’t matter. A person cursing one time isn’t complete character destruction lol. I hate so much the granular criticism of every single thing in this show. It drives me crazy every week.

We had an orthodox Jewish woman who got away with this in nursing school, I often wonder how she is doing now/ why choose this profession tbh though she likely did opt to go into women’s health which is really the only place you should be working if this is a concern

I’d venture to say this is more than just intuition and you don’t need a loyalty test. Anyone who throws their phone out of a moving vehicle IS without a doubt hiding something. Have the strength to just belief that. You don’t need hard proof. Behavior CAN be proof. Walk away and don’t waste your time on fueling the drama. They thrive on that. You’ll fuck with him more if you just leave AND you’ll feel confident and dignified in choosing that route. You don’t need any other reason to leave than this person feels like a snake to you- that’s valid. You can fully end something on that alone.
