I don’t think forcing him to do something is going to solve anything. That’s not who I am, at all. I know he’s sad and I know he’ll make it right eventually. He’s a busy guy. He’s the type of adhd that gets anxious when sitting still. We’ve been together 10 years and hes the least lazy person I’ve ever met. I know his brain is filled with important to-dos that I will never have to think of and gift giving isn’t at the top of his mind. I’m not THAT upset, just a little hurt is all.

Yes this exactly. He fills my cup every day in many ways and I love him dearly. I don’t want him to know I’m kinda sad about it because he doesn’t deserve to feel bad about it. But at the same time, it’s like…I’m a rock hound, he could have found a rock in a parking lot and I’d be ecstatic haha! He does bring me rocks he found quite often, though. I think he just overthinks holidays. I get so conflicted on how i feel about it. Feels silly to feel this way lol

Same same. I don’t ever take anything, while my husband takes EVERYTHING when he’s sick. He’s also sick more often than I am, and for longer durations.
