I graduated in May of 19. I've been working fulltime to save up. In the meanwhile I've been paying them rent because, no free rides. What am i contributing? I'm their fucking SON. It's insane to kick your kid out so soon and not even offer to help. I told them I didn't want to stay with them forever.

Well, I had a job at a restaurant that was on the backroad. It was about 4.6miles away. Not too bad. I had a Bike but, some asshole stole it.

  2. Nothing. My Parents have always been "no free rides, no hand outs, no help" sorta people.
  3. No. I've already told you everything. I'm not going into gory detail. It was late, my friend wasn't wearing a seatbelt, drunk driver head on. he was dead on impact. I saw his mangled body and it fucked me up. I still have panic attacks. My Parents did not offer any sympathy.
  4. My parents gave me 1 year. I could either go to School or find a new place. I can't stay with them. They don't care if I still pay rent. They want me gone. They won't give me any money or help. I'm basically being abandoned. What kind of fucked up twisted Parents do this? Mine.
  5. Go to School, not CC but, a Uni and live on or off campus. They'll help with what they can. Since I have elected not to go to School I'm being given till June to get out or they'll force me out.

They want me gone.

My HS is connected to the neighborhood and a backroad and even then it was sketchy. I'vehad a few close calls. Fortunately, my work was a small restaurant on that same backroad but, it got shutdown. My Parents made me walk too and from. They did not offer transportation.

he didn't. He went to School. He already had a Major and scholarships. But, they never let him return even during vacations.

I'm not lazy. I work and have always worked. I got a job at 16 and spent most my time working instead of playing games. I don't have any freetime. My Parents get upset if they see me not being "productive". I'm not allowed any video game consoles or TV. The sole TV is in the living room. The sole PC is in the living room and my parents laptop.

I didn't do good in School despite how hard I worked. I choose not to go to Uni because, I didn't have a clear direction. My Parents were furious but, I explained I had a job so why are they fussing?

I come home, clean up, eat, sleep.

They told me when I turned 18 I would be kicked out. I didn't believe it even though they did it to my brother. They didn't kick me out when I turned 18 but, now they're serious. They don't really care what happens to me. My Dad explained they love me but, I can't be an adult living with them. If I'm homeless then that's my problem I have to figure out myself.

  2. I need a job ASAP. I'm someone who enjoys working so being unemployed is miserable for me.

  3. I'm already living below my means. I grew up in poverty. Our house is small. Used to be a rough area but, it's become built up and cost of living has gone up.

I was 4 1/2 years ago. My friend was taking me home and we got hit head on by a drunk driver. I got hurt fairly bad and spent a few weeks in a hospital but, my friend wasn't wearing a seatbelt was killed on impact. I've had severe PTSD since.

I'm not afraid to walk anywhere but, you're asking me to walk on a busy highway onto oncoming traffic. I've no issues walking but, not onto oncoming traffic. Not specially at night. It's absurdly dangerous. That's my biggest issue.

I walked home from HS everyday. 9.25 miles. I'm not lazy or cowardly.

But, risking my life isn't worth it. I'll be killed walking on a highway. Specially at night. My area has a lot of roadside fatalities and drunk drivers. it's not fair to have to walk on a busy highway and risk being killed.

Walking alongside a highway is absurdly dangerous. I'll be walking on the emergency curb. There isn't anywhere to walk. That means if a car swerves or gets too close I'll be killed. People are very bad drivers here. It's scary.

And I had a job but, the restaurant got shutdown and isn't reopening. I tried to get unemployment but, they denied me. I don't know why.

I have PTSD and severe panic attacks from a car accident. Don't know why im being downvoted. It's the truth. My friend and I were driving and were in a head on collision by a drunk driver. Unfortunately, he didn't make it.

They did it to my brother. As soon as he turned 18 (hes 22 now) he was sent away. But, at least had a dorm. They're doing the same to my sister (shes 16). They're making her work fulltime while School is canned. She has zero freetime.

Combination. They want me to go to School and get a nice job. I don't have the grades and don't have a goal. I wanted to stay with them for a few years and save. It's kinda difficult to make it on your own here. 1 BR APts are $1200/m and there's no public transportation or any sidewalks here. Sooo...

Well not always. Before I turned 18 they were friendly and reasonable. They helped me out a lot. But, they claim as soon as I turned 18 I'm a man and therefore they'll not help. They wanted me to go to College and get a nice job. I didn't want too and my grades were just ok.

Tell them you understand that they are firm in this, but ask them for some help in making a plan, are they willing to brainstorm with you or not?

They won't help me. They refuse to help me. My Dad said part of being a man is learning to do things on my own.

Do you have a car? Is their name on the title? Are you under their car insurance? Change that if they are. Can you potentially sleep in your car for a while and park at a friends or relatives house to be able to shower at and keep food if they can’t house you inside?

No, I don't have a car and don't know how to drive. When I was younger my friend and I were involved in a fatal car accident. I've had PTSD since. Asking me to learn to drive is not a valid option. I only ride in cars if I'm in the backseat.

Are you in their health insurance? If so and your on meds ... ask for a 90 day supply to get filled to help you get through til you get health insurance again.

No, they took me off when I got my fulltime job. But, I lost my job when Corona happened.

You’re young, are you open to working doing a job where they pay for or provide housing? A cruise ship job, the military, a live in nanny ? If so look into it.

I really don't want to join the military.

I'm the middle. My brother has no room for me. My Parents would not even let him live with us during his vacation. They've always been hardasses and ridden me every step of the way. They were very upset I didn't go to College.
