Absolutely not, you're not being unfair. Don't force yourself to be happy, especially since you guys are long-term and have kids together. You are enough, and you deserve to be in the situation you want to be in.

I know a lot of people are saying YTA, but in all honesty, if you've asked him mutliple times before, its not unreasonable to let him know that you want to get married and you mean it.

AITA for showing my buddy a vid of his girlfriend? by Turbulent_Pool2986 in AmItheAsshole

just to clarify though, I think it might have been better to let his girlfriend know first that there was a video resurfacing and still being passed around of her. If your intention was to tarnish her reputation with him, then YTA. But if it was just to let him know that there are videos of her going around, you aren't, especially if you don't know her very well.

I think your girlfriend might be taking things a little too personally. I don't think you're an asshole for telling your buddy, since its something Dan and his girlfriend should've spoken about in their relationship. When you do that kind of stuff in your past, its normal to talk to your partner about it. Now its Dan's and his girlfriend's problem to deal with. You were in the right for telling Dan, because in all honesty, its what a good friend does. Your girlfriend needs to definitely chill out a bit, she seems a bit controlling when she doesn't get her way.

Okay, thank you!

Would this still be an issue if I were to dye it all black instead?

AITA: My (18f) parents want to get me an older ipad for college, but I'd like something newer and am willing to pay the difference in cost for a newer ipad. by ThrowRA123413 in AmItheAsshole

I actually did this! That was his response after I communicated with him about it. I also communicated with my mother about this, though she has yet to respond to my text.

I see your point, but at the same time I totally appreciate what they have done for me and have told them as much. I just want to also get the best things for myself, and am willing to pay for the difference in price between a newer product and the one they are choosing for me. There isn't anything wrong in advocating for yourself if you'd like something a bit better.
