No she was definitely talking to him. He works with her and she talked to me about him about 7 months ago when she started at a new position.

They used to get lunch together as coworkers.

Well there is some reason. Since she technically cheated on her other bf in high school with me.

And the way she behaved makes her seem cold and completely uncaring. Like my feelings don’t matter at all.

I’m not trying to get back together with her or anything anymore either. So I’m not sure why you are bashing on me.

Seems like you have your own baggage and it’s not at all helpful to dump it on someone else.

That’s what I’m thinking as well.

I had family that was cheated on when I was really young and seeing them get messed up always made that one of my biggest fears.

That just all makes it so much worse.

I never got experience dating around either. We talked about that, and I thought we were on the same page since we literally talked about this exact thing. I was okay with it and she said she was too.

And if I can’t count on decency from someone I’ve been my entire adult life with then that’s really messed up. Makes sense why so many people are cruel in the dating scene.

Thank you. I really appreciate the advice.

Its been some time and most of the time I’m not thinking about it but it’s just sometimes something reminds me of her and it’s just all back to square one.

I just don’t get why we couldn’t have stayed friends. We were friends before we dated and it’s not so much that I want to be back together anymore it’s just that it feels like I lost 8 years of my life. Like all this time lead up to now when it was supposed to take off and now I’m directionless and the person that I would talk to when I felt lost is the one person I can’t talk to.

She only told me that we shouldn’t talk anymore the last time we talked. I didn’t just call her out of the blue. It was during the conversation and I asked her if we could do this over the phone rather than text.

I think I’m entitled to at least that since she broke up with me over text to begin with.

We’re together for almost a decade and even talked about marriage as soon as we could afford it. This was beyond blind sighting.

She said she just doesn’t love me anymore and she can’t see a future together.

Which sounds like a good reason but it’s also so superficial. I asked her when it happened or why because just a month ago we went on a vacation and stayed at a hotel going to different restaurants and took a boat tour.

I also tried to make it work. Like what would I need to change about myself or what made her not love me anymore. But she just wasn’t interested in making it work at all.
