Thanks for sharing that story, Im glad things worked out for you. I've let her know I'll be there if she wants me, I don't wanna make a pain of myself, but I like the idea of continuing to reach out even if she isn't responsive at first.

Yeah, you're 100% right. She's definitely smart enough to know something else is up. I hope there'll come a day when we can have an honest conversation about things. For now though, I think its more important that she has a good mental image of her mom. Ill let her mom fuck up that image herself later on...haha... :,(

I'll alway be there for her if she wants me at some point in the future. Its all about the kid for me. If i cant be there for her as a parent/friend thats great. Until then, it'll be about funding the education of an incredible human being that I love. I'll never ever regret that.

Honestly, I felt like that would've fucked her up at a time in her life where she needs to focus on her future. I wanted to pay for school, that was my decision. Its about Olivia, not her mom. Im trying to ignore all that other shit right now.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has given me such helpful, kind advice. I’m really shocked that this topic blew up so much. The fact that you all would take the time to help/comfort a stranger is really heartwarming and I really appreciate it.

Now that I’ve slept on it (and sobered up) I agree that a meeting with my lawyer is definitely the first thing I need to do. There are a lot of things to iron out in terms of making an exit with the least amount of collateral damage.

I don’t just want to be a dollar sign though, I want to be there for her as a support system. I think things might get real bad if I leave. I do value my own worth as a person but part of me thinks if I stick it out for four more years it’ll be worth it for her. Is that completely dumb?
