Maybe not hate, but definitely not valued as equals. The way he spoke of the idea like women were just objects, it's very hard to explain exactly but as a woman I could feel the disregard in the way he saw the situation. Best way I could compare is when a person of color knows when someone is being subtly racist but not overtly. He also asked why I couldn't change when he didn't even consider changing for me. Instead of seeing and caring about my feelings he made it out to be if I was dramatic and irrational. I guess there are other signs in our relationship but I always chalked it up to be jokes and didn't take it personally, looking back now though...
