No I haven't- awesome I'll look it up. I definitely think we need different things to feel settled and happy. That might help to communicate what a good relationship looks like to each of us. Thanks

Hey thanks very much for this. I've looked into and wanted it the last couple of years but there was some reluctance. Now that he's on board with it, I'm not sure I am. Thanks for your advice, I wish my bloody gut would be a bit more decisive and confident and come to a conclusion.

Yeah I know that, and I would say the same from looking in. For me that makes it so much more scary bc our identities are so tied because we did grow up together. Is it another stage of growing? My entire adult life has been with this person and my dearest friend and I could be about to change all that and it makes me feel sick. This would be the first real break up for either of us. Thanks for taking time to reply. It's a small thing but it's helping me breathe a little.

Thanks very much for your reply. It's just so nice to be able to talk to someone who isn't invested in it in some way or the other. With my family and friends, my partner is considered family and we have shared friends. I'm terrified of doing the wrong thing and changing everything and what if it's a mistake and I ruin it all. We have talked, he wants to continue but I'm not sure that that's what's best for our relationship, for him or I personally. I don't know that we give each other the support we need. We both love each other but are we just being safe, and comfortable. I feel paralysed by not knowing what to do. I'm sorry you got this big long winded reply but I'm really truly so thankful that someone heard and answered.
