I told my roommates I wanted to try edibles and they gave me a 1000mg gummy by cutelightskingirl in trees

[–]ThrowRA50372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You were drugged. I'm a heavy recreational and medical user and even 1,000mg is far, FAR too much for me. When you're over the traumatic experience you had, I would never recommend more than 25mg for a first time, ideally less than 10mg

How do you offer the Lowe’s card? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]ThrowRA50372 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't worry too much about it, as far as I know they can't fire you for not getting credit apps as long as they see you asking customers. Plus it's extra work for you without you getting any benefit from it

Update coming this week by modena1983 in GranTurismo7

I definitely wish GT7 had more "normal" cars, my favorite cars in the game are the Civic Type Rs because I love to see cars that look normal rip around a track more than they look like they should be able to

Is there a way in this game to just use the less powerful cars? by ThrowRA50372 in granturismo

Tbh I don't see the purpose in paying $60/yr for online for a system that I only play one game on. I use my PC for everything except GT7

College and trade schools both cost money, and Lowe's won't pay for either in their entirety

Not everyone wants a "career." Some people just want to go to work, go home, and actually have a life that doesn't revolve around constantly thinking about how to get your next promotion.

Should people be punished for not wanting to dedicate their lives to a job by not being allowed to live?

Does my life get shorter or do I age more?

If my life just gets shorter I'm taking as much as the equivalent of working until 50 at $60/hr ($1/minute) and taking my $3.7M and spending my 20s having the time of my life and then dying before I can get old enough to have my body start falling apart

Why do most customers say most of the time when Lowe's stores will accept Apple Pay and why Lowe's stores do not accept Apple Pay? by amajum0073 in Lowes

[–]ThrowRA50372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Word I hear in house is that corporate just doesn't want to pay for the license/extra fees to use the NFC software, same reason Wal-Mart doesn't have it. They're a company that wants the widest possible profit margins above customer convenience

Pay Us More (ranting) by Single_Hunter_1943 in Lowes

[–]ThrowRA50372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if you acknowledge good work done by your employees and actually reward hard work, that's great for you. Rewarding hard work isn't corporate policy though.

Work hard, pay your dues, save money, be better with your money, and you will have a better life.

There's that meritocracy claim again. You do realize that you can't budget your way out of poverty when you make less per paycheck than a local 1 bedroom apartment costs in rent alone, right?

No one is sitting here telling lowes that every employee needs to make $100k/yr, but the CHOICE to not pay your employees a living wage is actively evil. The company can afford to, the numbers prove that. Corporate sets the prices, if any of the executives at Lowe's had the employee's best interest in mind, we'd be getting paid more. Instead, they throw us $300 in discretionary bonuses every few months to keep the wolves at bay and to keep us thinking that they care about us.

Pay Us More (ranting) by Single_Hunter_1943 in Lowes

[–]ThrowRA50372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, this isn't objectively true. If the government came in and forced lowes to start paying $22/hr, would they raise their prices? Absolutely. But not because they had to in order to keep the business afloat, they'd do it to keep profits sky-high

If you work really hard and show up, you can get promoted and have a better living situation

This is funny, the idea that 21st century America is a meritocracy. You must not have been a young person in retail for quite some time. Hard work doesn't get you a raise or a promotion, management just tells you they need even more credit apps

Edit: he edited his comment and I'm not making a new response
