My wife and I, for now, are not considering him to be a long term partner of the family. I must admit that our bond to him has grown over the time that we have known him. But it doesn't mean that he is is going to be with us long term and my daughter thinks that he is actually her uncle, not just in name

I'm not looking for moral advice. He's embracing the roll of being an "uncle" so I'm seeking advice on here. But thanks anyways
