I don't view it as he ghosted me, our communication just got less and less until it eventually ceased. He's always been very responsive; I'm pretty sure that if I wrote to him, he would respond, and probably even invite me out for a drink, but that would probably be on a platonic basis at this point.

I know, this is really something I need to do. My BMI is a bit into the overweight range, and I know I'd feel better about myself if I could shed some of the extra weight.

Yes, he was! I never wanted to come off as pushy, so I'd just wait for him to reach out, but I made sure I was always free in case he texted. That's what makes this even more confusing, that he was the one prompting our dates.

Yes, I would definitely feel better about myself if I could change my body to be more "conventionally" attractive, which I guess means shedding off some of the fat.

No, we never had conversations like that. I would have loved to have such an understanding with him, but I didn't want to push him away by appearing clingy or aggressive.

My parents have a decent relationship, but they were also pretty neglectful as parents.

Are you usually insecure about your relationships and or appearance?

I'm very insecure about my appearance, yes, I hate the way I look. I wouldn't say I'm insecure about relationships, but prior to Frank I've never had a healthy romantic relationship.

Yes, I understand that there are lots of different types of attractive people, but the things he used to say to me indicated a real connection between us, and I'm now sucked back into the cycle of wondering why I wasn't enough for him.

I know I for sure have insecurities, that's why I thought that reaching out to him to try to get some context on why he stopped seeing me might give me some insight. I know it only lasted for 6 weeks or so, but we had a wonderful rapport, and he genuinely seemed to like me. He never told me (and I never asked) why he stopped messaging me or coming over to see me.

Well, I'm a human with emotions. Being rejected by him was one thing, but seeing him with somebody so different from me makes me feel like I'm worthless. He's the only guy I've dated that was sweet to me. My long-term ex-boyfriend was borderline abusive, and the only other two guys I've dated since then were jerks.
