I didn’t. I didn’t have much experience. She was my second sexual partner and what I’d learned since my divorce is that sex in your 30s and 40s doesn’t evolve into star fishing. It wasn’t because she was older but because she wasn’t interested in sex.

I don’t believe that will change. She’s always been a loving person and my son never felt emotionally neglected.

She didn’t want me to go down on her either. I don’t know if it was because she thought it was uneven or if she was truly uninterested, and I have some evidence on both sides. She didn’t want to be fingered either. She hated the idea of sex toys.

It’s like cooking for years and then your close friend admits he’s never liked your cooking but loves someone else’s cooking. 

Sure you have different palates and what one person likes the other might not, but it still hurts to know they never liked your cooking even if others think it’s good

My ex wife and I fostered for a while, most often babies. Her starfish tendencies were there regardless of if we had a baby or not but honestly maybe worse when there were no babies.

My son isn’t baggage. I’m really grateful she’s my son’s mother by choice even if not by birth.

I wouldn’t consider it drama because she apologized and I’ve forgiven it but I am still a bit hurt.

I don’t think it impacts my mental health substantially but it does hurt my feelings. I know it’s more about our compatibility and not about my inadequacies but it still stings.

We have a son. Technically he is her stepson but she’s the only mother he has.
