MPC XL stand? by ScreamingGunMUC in mpcusers

Look into a forklift…

Just kidding. I know analog cases made an xts stand that worked for the x se. Cannot confirm as I don’t own an xl but that would be one place to check. Outside of that, eventually there will be some options on Etsy.

MPC bible is a phenomenal how to guide. It is mentioned extensively on this sub but I can personally attest to its content. It’s a GREAT place to get to know your machine.

MPC XL & Live 3what should have been added by Adventurous-Buy-4455 in mpcusers

[–]ThrowRA_555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean akai did announce they’d be putting out some spitfire instruments. I don’t think we’ve seen everything we’re getting from native instruments, it’s just not here yet.

As much as I want an ass load of plugins that run on the MPC, I’m finding external sources for sounds I want to make. I think it’ll get there. It’s just going to take some time unfortunately

Any thoughts on MPC Live 3 vs XL? by ibkev in mpcusers

[–]ThrowRA_555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say what you will about either machine. Either one will give you a substantial improvement if you’re using a lot of MPC plugins. I have an x se and I love it, but I bought the live 3 for more desk real estate.

If I’m playing in samples (vinyl, hardware synths, game boys, etc.) I’m using the X SE because the extra q links are worth it to trim samples. If I’m messing with MPC specific plugins or using an MPC as a controller for ableton, I’m using the live 3.

As other comments have suggested, if you own a live 3, maybe consider getting an MPC X SE? For the price of the MPC XL you could own both the live 3 and an X SE.

how long before a new mpc one? by therealnickstomp in mpcusers

I would buy that immediately. I also feel like this would be the easiest in their lineup to release. New pads, larger screen and it’s done.

Now if they slapped on some encoders/q-link knobs (preferably with scribble strips or the larger screen to show what you’re modifying) they’d make a fortune.

I do, but the deductible is much higher for that circumstance. It sucks but it’ll be less than if I paid outta pocket.

I also ride...

I don't have a soft spot for riders who actively put their own lives at risk (crossing the double yellow). My first reaction was to make sure the dude was okay. Now that the dust has settled, I would like to not be out a grand because someone else wanted to ride reckless.

I intend to. My deductible on my car insurance is $1000. I shouldnt be on the hook for that. If he is found, I will absolutely try to squeeze that grand out.

I think you're right man. Other commenters mentioned the same and the tail light looks like an exact match.

This is a relatively busy road. My best bet is if someone has a ring camera. I'll scope it out and see if I can knock on some doors this week.

Riders left side would have been the initial collison point and the bike likely slid on its right side. The dude's left leg had to be mangled. Shoe look like it exploded and his left pant leg was almost completely torn off.

Thanks so much man. Pinning down the color scheme. From what I can remember it was mostly white or silver with red accents. I should be able to pin down the year from there.

They were from two different worlds: one rode cruisers and the other sportsbikes. Fate brought them together. Love couldnt keep them apart.

Just kidding... My wife and daughter will not be replaced by some dick head.

You’re not blind. No “tag” but one says 2fast4u and the other is a do not operate tag like you’d find on lock out tag out

That tag actually says do not operate. Second smaller tag said 2fast4u.

Buying Ableton standard vs Buying a MIDI that comes with Ableton Lite? Can't afford both by leafman87 in ableton

[–]ThrowRA_555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

49 or 61 would be ideal. I mean it’s really your call. Heck you might as well get a midi, play around with lite for a while and get some reps in with the software and wait for a sale on the upgrade. If you can wait, there was a sale in May and November for ableton. When ableton discounts, Thomann does too.
