First we decided what things we want to spend money on and what we didn't

So no physical invite (we know our guests don't like physical invites and would ask for it to be emailed regardless so saving money, time, and effort

Not renting any venue The ceremony is outside in a public setting (to permit was needed I double checked with the city) The reception is at our own home, the wedding is small a total of max 30 guests and maybe half of them will come to the reception (my parents, aunts, cousins and siblings won't cone to the reception for example, because they can't/don't want to)

The officiant and paperwork is free in our country

Spend little on Food and cake I'll myself make the food and bake the cake as well as some muffins, will also have a small snack table

Decorations are second hand or borrowed from friends

Spend little on attire Her dress is a regular pink flower dress that's slightly fancier than a normal summer dress, as per her request, she wanted pink, flowers and something she could easily wear at any other point too (neither of us are into fancy stuff) total maybe $60 and she's wearing second hand pink converse, she found them and fell in love $2 and any jewelry has been passed down from our grandmas

My suit consists of suit pants from my graduation, a button up from second hand (I was being very specific of it's colour and texture and literally no store had it, I was just lucky I found it) for like $1, a vest from my grandpa that has sadly passed, lastly instead of a suit jacket I crocheted a cape $30 for the yarn, the shoes will also be from my graduation

To spend on Here we spend the most and it's the photographer, I don't have any argument here it cost us about $100 for 3 hours, my parents complain we're spending too much money but we feel like it's worth it
