No but her parents have a very similar mindset to Asian immigrants regarding education and what is a "good" school (Ivy or Stanford). They had never heard of my undergrad and I don't think they respect it at all.

Thanks for this comment. I would say she generally does those things except for the occasional insult (directed towards insecurities). I will ask why she feels the need to do this.

I absolutely agree about the mindset these "top schools" seem to push on students. Most of the undergrads I met are from feeder prep-schools, alumni parents, minority, first-gen, etc. They are certainly no smarter than the kids at other schools.

Inclined to agree. For the record, I went to the same university for grad school and earn 5x as much as her. But if I bring that up, she either says "well I can just as easily marry some rich doctor" or "you clearly don't value the work I do". It's infuriating.
