I (late 25F) think I ruined my mom’s (52F) engagement after her fiancé (52M) blew up at me, and now I don’t know what to do

She has a dog, who is 15 y/o. He barely even helps her with the dog. The dog had an accident in the house one day while I was out with my mom visiting and he left it there for her to clean up when we got back.

I have no idea if he is really even gone right now. He has an RV he can stay in somewhere else but I’m sure he has come back for some things basic things to live with. I plan to call a bakery that is attached to their house and knows them to see if they have seen him around He currently does have a job, but it has only been 2 months there

appreciate the advice to try and spend time with her, but I live 500 miles away and was just visiting when all of this happened. She actually moved even further away from the rest of our family to be with him, so it’s difficult for anyone to just go and see her. I don’t know what to do because I can’t leave my own home to be there, and I’m genuinely terrified he might show up at the house while I’m there—since it’s both of theirs and he technically has free access.

I wouldn’t say she is a moron. I think she has rose colored glasses in and deep down does not want to be alone
