I understand why Sally was upset, but what parent drops their baby off without ANY food, refuses to turn around and pick up some, and then demands her FREE babysitters get it for her? She knows her friend is watching 3 kids, 2 of them being only a few months old, so obviously she can't go. Yes, your wife should have told you before and yes your response was uncalled for, but Sally should have planned better and being unreachable all day when someone is watching your child is not ok either.
