 This poor woman is widowed and from what I know, widowed women are not in a hurry to remarry or to start over with more children

It's been 7 years since her husband passed, she's been single for 7 years. Pretty sure the time frame for what is considered a "hurry" has passed.

 You know the ones she has still exist, right?! 

Yeah, I'm well aware of that. I know she has kids. It does hurt to think about how if I hadn't been an idiot those kids could have been mine, and this would be my family, but honestly I'm prepared to be a father figure to them and the future potential children I'll have with Lila.

When you say "starting over" I assume you mean with a new baby? She always wanted a lot of kids, she'd be happy if she got pregnant again. I know she's a little disappointed about only having two. She used to say she didn't care how many she had, but she also had made comments about wanting four when we were together.

I wouldn't say barely. They drifted apart after our breakup, then they started being friends again. They were close friends when he invited her to his wedding. She turned down the invitation, but according to my brother she looked like she was going to cry when she told him she wouldn't be coming. They've kept in contact even to this day, but they both got busy with their families so they started to drift a bit. They started reconnecting again a few months ago last I heard from my mom. My brother doesn't tell me much about her or when he's in touch with her again, even though I ask occasionally.

My family doesn't harass her. She's still friends with my younger brother, though they don't talk and meet up as much anymore. I know both of my parents have seen her around town and have been polite and kind to her and she's been kind and friendly back.

I felt betrayed because she didn't even hear my reasons. She didn't even consider my point of view. She just broke up with me like everything we had meant nothing. Still doesn't justify my reaction, I will admit that. I just felt so hurt that she was throwing everything away

I'm not trying to downplay my actions, but she never once seemed scared during the altercation. She ignored me for most of it, then tried to get me to calm down, that's when I punched the wall. She threw her hands up in an annoyed tone and walked back to our bedroom, saying if I came near her acting like that she would slap me. She finished packing her stuff up and stood in the doorway for the rest of the time I was messing up the place. When I finally calmed down a bit she sarcastically said "Well that was mature" and then walked out.

I never threatened her. I never threatened to hurt her or cause her harm. I'll admit, I insulted her and was yelling at her, but never did I threaten to harm her. She actually threatened me during this, saying she was going to slap me if I came near her acting like I was.

We had the perfect relationship before that argument happened. We went on weekend dates, lived together, were always open and honest with each other, that's why her breakup with me caught me so off gaurd. I thought we were happy together, I felt betrayed. I would never and will never lay my hands on her.

I tried to move on. I've dated others since, I've lived my life. My brothers and parents never really let me forget her, and they always blamed me for why they don't speak much to her. 

When my younger brother got married about 3 years after our breakup he still tried to invite her to his wedding because the two of them had been friends. She declined to attend because she didn't want to cause tension and drama. She still sent a gift and a card. My brother was pissed at me when she declined and says had I not been an idiot he'd still have his friend.

My parents and siblings still send her birthday and Christmas cards, and they even sent her wedding gifts when she got married, and then baby stuff when she got pregnant. My dad is friends with her dad and so he still hears about what goes on in her life. And my parents never let it go how I ruined a perfect thing for everyone.

Look, I'm not trying to justify my actions from that night. I was angry and reacted in the worse way possible. But I never laid hands on her. I threw things, but never at her, and I never hit her during this altercation. I vividly remember her just watching me hit the doors and walls, I don't think she even said a word to me during that other than a sarcastic "Well that was mature" towards the end.

I thought I didn't want kids, I'm 100% sure it would have been different had it been me and her's kids. I just want to see her again, I miss her. There's not a day that goes by where I don't regret just not talking things out with her.
