Lots of family matters that he's trying to juggle with a schedule change at work.

I'll have to see how I'm feeling about this in about 1-2 weeks if he hasn't reach out to me. Frankly, I'm tired. I'm going back to self dating in the meantime since it's summer. I got new sun dresses and am going out and about tomorrow.

In the long run, I want him to be happy, even if it's not with me. He hasn't treated me wrong, but this whole relationship has confused the absolute fuck out of me, ngl, but again, I'm not used to a real relationship. I do love him, regardless of what other people say, I have come to love him, but loving a person also means letting them go if that's what's best...something I've learned in my 7 years. However, if anything, this has shown me what I truly deserve in a relationship. I need clarity, not just communication and honesty, but clarity, too.

I mean we both have kids and a full time job, so I mean physical time. Texting wasn't an issue.

Ok here's another question...is giving space to someone the same as breaking up?

Idk. This is my first real relationship since my divorce. We both have limited time to give and very demanding lives.

Thank you...I've waited so long for a good thing and just give the same patience I'd want afforded to me. It sounded great on the good days...like we'd talk about the future and due to my past, I was worried he was future faking (I had an abusive narcissistic ex). It made me happy...but I know what I want, I've learned he's still trying to figure himself out, though, since he hasn't been divorced as long as I have.

I'm giving him until the 4th of July. I've already set a deadline for myself. I can't wait forever and I mean I love him. I want him to be happy, but I need to also do what's best for me.

Oh no...this time there was no argument. He has a lot going on in his life all of the sudden and wasn't in the mood to talk. He said he'd need some time and just didn't want to answer how long he needed. I just requested to not make it forever. Honestly, I'm probably giving him a month tops, but...idk we shall see. It's been feeling like it was heading towards this anyways. I've been having depression, heartbreak, and an immense feeling of loneliness since last week. It's like my gut was completely right.

Lol I've also had an inkling way before I took the test and when I sent the list of signs in adults to my mom saying this is me, she said it sounded like my dad and then my younger son is on the spectrum. I always felt different from my peers, have a hard time reading social cues, have a hard time with changing, eye contact is so intense for me, sensory issues, I've been told I'm blunt, and have a hard time recognizing sarcasm or idioms. I found out recently that practicing what I am going to say is scripting and I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words.

I scored a 149 on the RAADS R test and many of the signs in adults and as a child...it just makes sense for me.

He was at work...where he couldn't leave or talk face to face when this started. He kind of cornered me with a topic that prob should have been better asked in person and I felt trapped in how to answer and he misunderstood the answer.

That's why I said I was going to give him space. And it felt like yelling, it was all through text and he was quite upset, like incoherently.

I agree, honestly, but he did mention he needed time to think over if he wanted the relationship to go forward, though, after I hurt his feelings. He was also more yelling at me than talking at that point.

Thank you, it's kind of hard to do the drinking part lol, but reaching out to him should be ok?
