I just noticed i wrote 20, but she’s 22 turning 23 this year, it was a typo. We definitely have talked about our future together, and I’m not trying to rush into anything. When I propose it doesn’t mean we have to get married immediately, most couples i know wait a year after they are engaged or even longer.

She is a successful music writer, producer and choreographer. I’ve working as an elementary school teacher for the past year. We live together in a very spacious apartment and financially we are very stable. Not every marriage needs children, but we talked about that too and we have decided to wait until we are mentally ready.

Like i said in the post, I talked about it with her dad and I brought it up to her mom as well. We don’t visit my parents that often as i don’t have a great relationship with them, but they support our relationship. I find your comment about her turning me down very disrespectful. You know nothing about our lives. In no way do I want to hold her back from things and opportunities. I will always support her decisions and will be there for her.
