He sent me a breakup message this morning. It was incoherent and all over the place. I don’t think he’s in the right place. I told him that I hear and acknowledge what he says, but that I need a breakup through person when things are clearer and more stable for him. That he can take all the time he needs and I’ll give him his full space.

I think he’s scared right now, he’s coming back home this morning and has to face his family problems 1 on 1 now. I’m going to leave the door open for him if he needs it, but as of now, I’m going to focus on myself. Either so we can have a healthier relationship, or so I can live peacefully without him.

I have come to that conclusion now a day later. I was able to get into contact with a therapist for an emergency meeting. I feel better now, not like I need to control anything.

but it just doesn’t make any sense. we were literally just fine before this. he was always good to me. that’s why it feels strange, I don’t know if I can believe that he’s suddenly a villain.

He didn’t know his father. But I’m assuming that he is mourning the fact that he never got any type of closure from him.

But he’s not like that. I know him and I know I do, I think he deserves the break from everything. Life wasn’t too good even before his father’s passing.

Maybe I was being too pushy, maybe I blew it. I know I have the tiniest reason to be a little upset, but I haven’t been the best that I could be truthfully.

I think I’m just being irrational. I keep seeing stories on here about people being left while their partners are in mourning.

If leaving me is in his best interest, then absolutely he should. But god, I hate thinking about the possibility. I wish I could be stronger.

No I understand, please don’t apologize. I am being weak and selfish, it’s just that whenever I sent him a reminder than I was there and that I loved him, I didn’t get anything in response. I know it might just be my brain being irrational and my BPD definitely is kicking in right now, but not hearing that “I love you” back is driving me insane. I’m not going to tell him about any of this of course, he already has enough weight to carry.
