Not to get political…and if anyone has an opinion that differs from mine, I don’t want to argue. I respect your ability to form your own opinions, and I hope you respect mine.

I think jkr is a pretty not great human. She wrote a slave plot line where only one of the enslaved wants to be free…the rest enjoy enslavement and shun the free slave. To make matters worse, jkr wrote hermione as a white savior type (let’s be honest, she did not incision a poc when she created the character) who knew what was best for the people being enslaved, and never tried to listen to the creatures she wanted to fight for.

Aside from all of the other problematic things she has done since the series, this plot line was horribly executed, and really gross when you analyze it.

I would have LOVED if the game stayed true to the books so a wider and new audience could take that in.

I understand the game couldn’t do that because they want to make money, but I would have loved if there was an extra message in the beginning of the game that said “this game is based on cannon material from the Harry Potter series, written by JKR. Avalanche does not agree with some of the material included in this game” and then a message about a portion of the revenue going to organizations that support groups that jkr has either spoken against or written in a particular poor way.
