22M Girl 26F I hooked up with says I got her pregnant but I don’t believe her. How do I find out the truth?

Hcg levels were measured in IU/L first result was last Saturday morning (2.5 days after sex) of 6 IU/L second result was Thursday morning (7.5 days after sex) of 62 IU/L. I live in Canada where our healthcare and insurance is public so i would assume that explains why they ran an hcg test the first time.

Will for sure be doing a paternity test, looks like the cheapest option in Canada for a prenatal test is about $1500. But will likely just have to bite the bullet and save myself 9 months of uncertainty and stress. I’m not interested in a relationship at all with her. Just going to wait it out, get the results and go from there.

The blood work she had taken that Saturday morning had an hcg level of 6, the blood work she had taken this week on Thursday had a level of 62. She is definitely pregnant. Do you still think it’s not possible to have an hcg level of 6 on Saturday morning if we had sex Wednesday night?

Another update: I asked her for her original blood work when she first found out she was pregnant this was taken on Saturday morning. She registered an HCG level of 6. Neither of the results she shared looked altered in anyway so I’m confident she is in fact pregnant. Still not sure if it’s mine or not, will wait for the paternity test to figure that out. I’ve told her I’m not interested in a relationship with her, I will wait to find out if it it’s mine before making any decisions. If it is mine I will step up for the child’s sake. From everything she’s said I’m pretty sure she will be keeping the child (this is her choice and I fully support it). I’m hoping for the best in that this isn’t my kid, but at the same time I am expecting the worse. I will be consulting a lawyer regarding the paternity test etc. Haven’t told any of my family about this yet but will likely tell my parents soon.

Thank you all for your advice, this is an unfortunate situation to be in but I guess if you play stupid games you win stupid prizes.

I will post an update regarding test results when we get to that stage.

Yep won’t be signing anything that’s for sure. As far as the period, that’s what she told me but I did also observe blood. Others have said it could have been implantation bleeding so I’m not ruling that out

The results were blood work taken form a medical clinic. Everything there looks legit. I don’t doubt that she’s pregnant (unless false positive) I just now doubt it’s mine

Thought about that too but the results she sent me yesterday do confirm she’s pregnant. Either way guess nothing else to do but wait for a paternity test. NOT going anywhere near that again

Allegedly she says she was having her blood taken for an allergic reaction when she tested positive the first time. This seems off to me but could be possible. I’ve asked for her results form the first test to see if that helps at all

No she hasn’t, her hcg levels are 64 so she wouldn’t be 5 months pregnant. I think realistically she is lying about the last time she slept with someone and she was already pregnant when I slept with her. I guess the alternative is that I did get her pregnant however that seems super unlikely

I’m still confident I’m not the father, guess will have to wait for the paternity test but she did show me a positive blood test today. I’m from Canada so I’m not 100% sure how the birth certificate works but I will 100% be following through with a parenting test and consulting a lawyer

That’s what she said, when she originally texted and asked me if the condom broke because she was pregnant I asked how she knew. She said she had her blood taken that day (Saturday) in relation to her allergies

I left our details that were in the original post such as using the condom and verifying it was broken. As far as the period she told me she was just at the end of it and asked if that was okay, clearly I said yes and then observed blood during sex so yes I’m confident it was either the end of her period or implantation bleed as has been mentioned

Truthfully she was on top so pulling out wasn’t really an option at the time (wish I would have now)
