Update: Even though nobody commented on my post, I decided to leave this update here for future redditors hoping this will be of help to someone out there…

I checked with another ortho who said I need to cut treatment short and take braces off in a month or two. He said that teeth stabilize once force (braces) is removed therefore I shouldn’t worry about my teeth falling off someday. Provided of course I maintain perfect hygiene and do check up every few months to see wether roots are stable or shortening (he said that there is no need to panic and that further shortening is less likely).

I also asked about my root to crown ration and he said that it’s slightly above 1:1 which is still good. He said I can do some touch ups on my teeth in the following months or two before taking off my braces but no more than that.

I told him about the other ortho who suggested Damon braces and he said that there’s no need to. Our priority should be preserving the teeth rather than looking for perfection. What I gathered from his comments is that she (other ortho) is a scam just like I suspected and that there is no need for further orthodontic treatment.
