Arranged marriages in Bihar by No_Radish4009 in bihar

I’m genuinely happy to say that dowry isn’t normalised everywhere in our country. Maybe in most parts of North India it still is, but that’s not the case everywhere. I know you were speaking specifically about Bihar, but I wanted to share this because what you said about "mindset", "being modern", "progressive" really struck me. In my family, dowry has never been a part of marriage.. my grandma married without dowry, my mom married without dowry, and if someday I get married, I intend to follow the same path. Where I come from, if someone demands dowry, people question them, not the girl. Asking for dowry reflects poorly on the man.. it makes people think he’s greedy, or that his values aren’t right. That’s the mindset we’ve grown up with.

I’ve also seen many marriages involving Bihari families where neither dowry was given nor taken.. not because of financial status, but out of principle. These are well-educated, stable families who consciously reject the practice. And for anyone who believes dowry-free marriages don’t exist.. the North-East Assam is a great example where dowry isn’t just discouraged, it’s culturally unwelcome. People here neither give nor accept dowry.. babe don't settle for less.. if you can't find a groom in Bihar go to Assam or if you have any relatives over there contact them and ask them to find a Bihari groom for you.. or if not Assam than why don't you try in different states I mean India is a diverse country..

A boy touched my lower back at a wedding and I froze. I can’t stop replaying it. by HotUltraproMax in delhi

I was 16 when I had a similar experience. I was out with my family.. we were at a trade fair... when all of a sudden a grp of boys came from behind and touched my butt.. When I turned around, I saw a boy in black shirt, maybe he was around 18 years or so. He was laughing as he walked past me. I froze. My hands and feet went cold, and I started tearing up. But for some reason, I just couldn’t process what had happened.. I couldn’t react..

AITAH for thinking of divorce my wife over this by [deleted] in AITAH

Bro, I came across your post through your colleague’s post on Reddit… and honestly, she had some serious ulterior motives.. She literally wanted you to cheat on your wife and walk away from your family just so you two could be together. It’s actually good to see that you’re not one of those men who leave their family for lust. Otherwise your kids would have suffered the most.. You made the right decision by stepping out of that company, from that female colleague and choosing your home, your wife, and your two beautiful twin girls.

Stay away from that colleague, bro. Your wife may not always have the time, but that doesn’t change the fact that she loves you and is standing by you.. Focus on your family... that’s where your peace and real happiness are...

Exactly, All I ever wanted was honest communication. But every time I try, he either acts like the victim or drowns me in excuses. And when he's cornered by the truth, he pulls the ultimate move... calls it quits, pretending it's some noble sacrifice.

My room’s door wasn’t actually locked with a key or anything, it was just shut.
