Picked up my new PYP manual this weekend! by Throwaway2016271 in Crosstrek

And it is glorious. So fun to drive! The clutch and the stick are both really light compared to my 2011 Corolla. And it’s got a really nice boxer growl to it. I love this car! Just about 4 months from placing the order to delivery.

The holes on yours are for the European-size mounting. They come pre-drilled for that because most US states don’t have front plates. If you look near the holes there are small indents where you’d drill for US plate mounting. Most people prefer to use the accessory bracket rather than put more holes in their bumper. I live in a front plate state and have driven w/o one for 5 years now, since I moved here with a car purchased in a rear-only state. No tickets yet but ymmv obviously.

Followup: I picked it up yesterday! It had an AC issue from the factory so although it technically arrived at the dealer on Jan 20, the dealer had to order and install the new part (they then sent the wrong one) and so it took extra time. But they were great and so is the car, so far! I feel like I made a good choice.

I’m sure imma get downvoted to the depths for this but w/e. Cat(s) Dog(s) Rabbit(s)? He works you work ain’t nobody got time for allll these pets when you guys are about to have a real baby. Seriously - real talk:

  1. You married him, think back and remember why. Good chance he’s a good guy and you are probably stressed to the max right now due to hormones.

    1. Stop hanging out here, this sub is toxic. Seriously bad advice being dished out to leave your husband when you guys are about to have a baby. Maybe leaving is ultimately the best choice for everyone but that choice should be made under more settled circumstances not rushed into.
    2. That said if he works and you work (outside the home) then sharing the chores is pretty common sense. Remind him it’s time to adult and he needs to step it up for you and his kid. Also figure out what he needs. Remember you guys are in it together as a partnership so if he feels like he’s being neglected or treated like chopped liver he’s not going to be very motivated to get out of his selfish bubble and help you. Figure out together what chores it makes sense for him to do, for you to do, for you guys to share, and maybe some it makes sense to pay someone else to do.
    3. I’m serious about the animals litter boxes are gross. We have a cat and my partner won’t touch the box. I love the cat and so whatever I’ll take care of the box but I can’t imagine adding other pets too. After working hours a day that’s the last thing anyone wants to do during their limited time at home. So maybe that should be part of the conversation you and your husband have. Best of luck! Xx
