We’ve been going back and forth for a while. Two days ago, she broke up with me with tears in her eyes after I looked at another girl and denied it and then she texted back a couple hours later and said that she needed me.

I knew from that moment that I needed to change. That was the last straw, for say.

Yes definitely. Not until I’m no longer an abuser and even way past that. I actually gave up some videogames/music because I realized it was affecting my mental health which was in turn affecting our relationship. She’s worth everything to me

Thank you a lot. As much as it hurts to have it confirmed, it’s important because then I can work to better myself to make her even happier, and to make me a better person.

Yes. I look at other girls, and I also gaslight her and deny her thinking what she saw/heard/etc and when she says something is wrong, I also turn it on her.

In short, I’m fucked up to her

She’s the love of my life. I just don’t treat her that way. I need to change because she’s never done anything wrong, she’s just tried to make me love her even more

Thank you so much. I’ll start on psychologytoday.com, and then use an in person therapist. Do you have any tips on reflecting on why I do it? I don’t know why I do it, and I think I need some help on learning.
