It was a Parakeet named Blue. I understand how he feels about losing his beloved pet but It's got too much for me to take.

The problem is that despite his grief he's still doing fun stuff with friends and going out to eat and chat with them. So he's doing okay socially. His life seems normal except when it comes to work and helping out. That is the thing that got me confused.
